However, if you want to defeat it, you’ll need to know its weaknesses, the best Pokemon to counter it with, and of course, when you can actually fight it.
We’ve pulled together some of the best Pokemon to use to help you defeat this Tera Raid and catch Cinderace.
What To Expect From The Cinderace Tera Raid
Taking place from December 30th, 2022, to January 1, 2023, the second seven-star Tera Raid event gives you the chance to add the Galar starter to your team. The Scorbunny line can’t be found in Paldea, so this opportunity isn’t one to miss. Won’t be able to play games over the Holiday season? No worries – Cinderace will be back for more from January 13th – 15th. And remember – it has the ‘Mightiest Mark’, which means you can only catch one per save file.
Best Counters To Choose
This special Cinderace has Fighting as its Tera Type, so don’t be fooled into bringing Water types and expecting to do super-effective damage! You’ll want to bring Fairy, Flying, or Psychic types to fight it. You should avoid Ice, Rock, Steel, Normal and Dark type Pokemon.
The best counters to use against a 7 Star Cinderace Tera Raid are:
- Azumarill
- Dachsbun
Here is a breakdown of these counters and what moveset they should learn to defeat the 7 Star Tera Raid Cinderace.
Build One – Azumarill
Yes, it’s the Azumarill build we recommended for the 7 Star Charizard raid! Azumarill remains a firm fan-favourite for 7-star raids thanks to its Water and Fairy type. Its Hidden Ability Huge Power doubles Azumarill’s attack stat, whilst its regular ability Thick Fat halves any Fire-type damage.
We recommend the following moveset:
- Belly Drum – An Egg Move reduces health by 50% but maxes out your attack
- Play Rough – A Fairy-type Physical move perfect for dealing super-effective Tera STAB (same-type-attack-bonus) damage
- Hydro Pump – For pre-Tera STAB
- Rain Dance – For boosting Water moves power and nerfing Fire-type moves.
- Has the Gen 10 region been hinted at already?
Build Two – Dachsbun
Thanks to Dachsbun’s ability Well-Baked Body, Dachsbun can absorb Cinderace’s Fire-type attacks and receive a +2 Defence boost. Pair that with a Fairy Tera type and this puppy is a great choice for this second 7-star event.
We recommend the following moveset:
- Play Rough – Take advantage of the Fairy Tera Type STAB with this powerful Physical Fairy type move.
- Draining Kiss – A Fairy-type move that’s great for HP restoration.
- Work Up – Great for boosting Sp. Atk and Atk.
- Psychic Fangs – Learned through TM63.
